However, at least this animation is better than the abysmal cut scenes animation and graphics in the Sonic Boom: Rise of lyric video game. Like the animation is pretty good, but the lip sync is bad. But there are some things that bring the show down. Also, although Knuckles has been changed to arrogant and stupid, he is actually still a likable character. Eggman, who is my favorite character for being both funny and likable. But I actually find them very amusing and a lot of fun, especially Dr. The most criticized part about this is what they did with of the old characters. For example, one episode is about a music star named Justin Beaver who brainwashes girls like Amy and Sticks for an evil plot. In fact, it is sometimes deliberately dumb, making it funny and entertaining. That said, why do I give it such a high rating? Well, although the plots are so simple and frankly weak, it does it in a way that it is actual funny and entertaining, and not boring. Also, The Amazing World of Gumball is mean spirited, cruel, and boring, topped off with unlikeable characters. I think Teen Titans Go is lousy, annoying, and so boring that it makes me sometimes change channels. Now that we got that out of the way, here's my review of the show: The plots of the show are similar to those of normal CN shows like Teen Titans Go, and The Amazing World of Gumball. I know this show has some cheesy moments, and if you don't have a high cheese tolerance and expect this show to be like the action packed games, then just skip this show and watch a different one. I know for a fact a lot of people did not like this show. Overall, this isn't a show that will change anything or blow anyone away, but it's great if you want to watch something funny or something related to Sonic The Hedgehog that doesn't suck (except SatAm, that one's legitimately fantastic). The new designs of the characters are still good, characters that started out as one dimensional like Knuckles haven't really changed but they aren't really seen as cringe worthy anymore, and I'm just gonna say this: Sonic's characterization in this show is top notch and is exactly what I expect from Sonic The Hedgehog. The games were horrible (except for Fire and Ice) so I think it's great that this interesting concept is actually being put to use. The animation looks a little less polished in season 2 but it's still acceptable, the voice acting is still great with Roger Craig Smith being, objectively, the best voice of Sonic to date, and it really does bring justice to the Sonic Boom franchise. It's become a lot more self aware with it's jokes and often pokes fun at Sonic and SEGA themselves which is always really funny, but there is some original comedy here that definitely works. But, season 2 turned it into a show that I legitimately love, no joke. It had good animation but it just felt a little bland. Being a fan of the blue hedgehog, I was pleased to find that when this show came out that it was somewhat enjoyable but still mediocre.
